Parkway Place Center

Begun in 1994 with the opening of the United Artists ten-screen cinema, Parkway Place was a driving force in the exploding Lakeland Drive economy. Now boasting over 40,000 square feet, retail and professional center, Parkway welcomed Lakeland Drive’s first national brand hotel in the Summer of 1998 with the opening of a 90 room Sleep Inn Hotel. The fall of 2000 marked the sixth anniversary of Parkway Place and to celebrate the occasion, Corky’s Memphis BBQ was added to one of the outparcels, and in 2003 Merchants & Farmers Bank opened its doors on another outparcel close to Corky's.
