Our History

L. Rodney Chamblee founded The Chamblee Company, Inc. in 1979 as a commercial real estate brokerage firm along Lakeland Drive in Flowood, MS with one employee. Over the past 30 years, the company has grown and diversified into a connected family of companies consisting in part of East Wind Management, Inc., The Chamblee Company, Inc., and an asset holding company, Stone Creek Assets, LLC. It has become one of Mississippi’s premier development and property management companies over the past quarter century and presently holds a diversified portfolio of commercial income producing real estate with an estimated market value in excess of $100mm. By the end of 2009, this portfolio will contain 4 hotels, over 300,000 s/f of office/storage and retail parks, a 10 screen Regal Cinema, The Chimneyville Smokehouse restaurant chain and the highly regarded Heritage House of Castlewoods which is an 80,000 s/f assisted living and retirement center located on a 5 acre campus along Castlewoods Blvd in Brandon, MS. These assets and their related businesses combined provide employment to over 225 associates who share in an annual payroll in excess of $5mm and contribute over $2mm yearly to local and state tax rolls.
